Dear Sara - Why do so many people feel the need to ask me when my husband and I plan on having children? We have been married 5 years (together for 9) and are still undecided. There are a bazillionty factors as to why we are not ready to have children. Some are financial, some are health (including mental health.) What can I say to these people? How can I tell them their question hurts my feelings? (Without sobbing uncontrollably). <3 <3
Say, “Kids aren’t a priority for us.” If they ask further questions, say, “It’s really a private decision between me and my husband.” That’ll shut them right the fuck up.
